The NEW class aims to help beginning actors gain self-sufficiency and self-confidence in a supportive high energy environment. Through the practice of theatre games, acting exercises, and improvisation, participants will acquire the tools and techniques needed to become stage worthy. 13 weeks no class November 24th. This is a 2-hour class.

Experience the joy and drama of Bollywood dance in this four-week series for adults.

Feel good doing easy, rhythmic movements that boost energy flow, release tight joints, improve posture and abdominal strength. Done seated with some standing moves for balance; for all ages. Taught by Jacquie Farbman

We will spend time on barre work, center combinations, and movements that travel across the floor. Students will continue to progress in their skills and quality of execution.

For beginners and those with some tap experience. Let’s make some noise!
A beginner / advanced beginner class. We will focus on fundamental tap steps, exploring different styles and rhythms. Girls' attire: black leotard, pink tights, black tap shoes. Boys' attire: black shorts or pants, white T-shirt, black tap shoes. (We have some tap shoes available to borrow. Please call (518) 677-2495 ext. 311 to set up a time to try on a pair.)

Our littlest dancers will be introduced to basic positions and movements of ballet while engaging their imaginations. They will learn the foundational movements of ballet at a fun, easy pace. Special consideration is given to the attention span of children in this age group by incorporating dancing games and imagination. Attire—Girls: pink leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes. Boys: Black shorts or pants, white t-shirt, black ballet shoes.

This class, for ages 10 and up by permission of the instructor, will continue emphasizing previous skills and introduce new steps and terminology, and will encourage expression and musicality. Girls' attire: Pink ballet slippers, pink tights; any color leotard. Boy's attire: black shorts or pants, white T-shirt, ballet shoes.

For children 7+ who have taken Ballet 1 or equivalent, this class will build on and expand ballet skills. Age 7 - Adult, this class will introduce students to Irish step dance. Students will learn soft shoe beginner reel and jig steps, in addition to elements of figure dances.

This is a basic class on how to read music/basic music theory. We will go over basic concepts of music including note reading, chord structure, and easy listening exercises.

This class is for students who have 1-2 years Irish dance experience or have completed beginner Irish step. In this class we will learn the Irish reel steps as well as work on proper dance technique. We will also learn the 2 Hand Reel choreography which we will then perform in the spring showcase.

This class is for students who have had 2-3 years Irish dance experience or have completed Advanced beginner 1. In this class we will work on learning higher steps in the reel as well as proper form. We will also learn the 2 hand reel choreography to perform in the spring showcase.

(Ages 10 - Adult)
This is for students ages 10-adult who have had at least 4-5 years Irish dance experience or have completed intermediate Irish dance 1. In this class we will learn the bonfire dance, as well as work on hardshoe in the treble jig that we will preform in the spring showcase.

This class is for students who have 5 or more years of Irish step dance experience or have completed Intermediate 2. In this class we will work on building strength to learn a slip jig choreography called Snowy Path. We will also learn a hardshoe choreography that we will perform in the spring showcase.

This class is for students who have over 7 years Irish dance experience or have completed Advanced Irish 1. In this class we will learn a hardshoe choreography as well as learn the Mooney 3 hand reel choreography to perform in the spring showcase.

Music from Salem brings together musicians of international reputation to prepare and perform chamber music in the peace and beauty of rural Washington County, New York, and environs. Chamber music is classical music written for a small group of performers, and includes a range of styles, from the 18th century to today. Music from Salem also leads educational workshops and conducts violin, viola, and cello seminars for emerging young artists.

A new brew of ghost stories performed by Dr. Erastus Betterov-Underhill and Friends. Join us on a spooky and sometimes silly journey to the dark side of our imagination.
Once again Dr. Betterov-Underhill and Friends will materialize in local theaters with creepy, funny, and thought-provoking stories.

The show is 90 minutes, plus intermission.

Under the direction of Mark Evans, students from SUNY Schenectady present Troubleshooting, a poignant and humorous micro-opera by alum John Carroll.Tickets:
