Join Illustrator Darcy May for a 16 class series for aspiring student artists focusing on drawing and sketching. Classes are student-driven and will include learning about drawing materials and tools, observation and noticing, sketching, drawing, shading, lighting, and life-drawing alternating with imaginative fairytale/fantasy drawing and illustrating. New and returning students welcome! Materials fee included. Minimum 6 students required for class. Taught by Darcy May

(Previously titled Beginner Jazz) For ages 8 and up, this 16 week class includes ballet and strength techniques, combined with fun and energetic dance steps. We will stretch, learn across-the-floor progressions and choreographed combinations, and have fun! Preferred attire: Leotards & tights (or leggings & tank tops) with jazz shoes. (Previously titled Continuing Jazz) For returning students who have jazz experience (new students MUST receive instructor approval to sign up). This 16 week class focuses on more advanced jazz positions and combinations, and will include deep stretching and across the floor progressions. We will learn new choreography, combining foundational jazz techniques with fun and upbeat music! Preferred attire: Leotards & tights (or leggings & tank tops) with jazz shoes. This 16 week class is for returning drawing students who have already completed at least three years of Drawing with Darcy. We will continue with our student-driven model to build upon the skills we have already learned, and will stick with an alternating schedule of imaginative and life-drawing, but will move on to more complex subjects. Students will continue to learn soft shoe beginner jig and reel steps, in addition to elements of figure dances. They will also work toward performing a jig choreography in the June showcase. New students should wait until September to sign up unless they first receive permission from the instructor. Please contact Hubbard Hall to inquire further. This 16 week class is for students who have completed Beginner Irish Step Dance at HH, or have 1-2 years of Irish step dance experience. Dancers will continue to review jig steps, learn more reel steps, as well as continue to learn the Three Hand Jig choreography to perform in the 2025 dance showcase. Minimum 6 students required for class. Note: Dance Showcase will be on Saturday, June 14th. Taught by Rachel Sargood

This 16 week class is for students who have completed Advanced Beginner Irish Dance at HH, or have about 3 years Irish step dance experience. Dancers will learn the Four Hand Reel (a traditional soft shoe reel), as well as an introduction to hard-shoe dancing. New students should wait until the fall term to register for classes, unless pre-approved by the instructor. Minimum 6 students required for class. Note: Dance Showcase will be on Saturday, June 14th. Taught by Rachel Sargood

This 16 week class is for students who have completed Intermediate Irish Dance at HH, or have about 4 years Irish step dance experience. Dancers will learn the traditional 6-Hand Reel (The Fairy Reel), as well as continuing to work on their Intermediate soft-shoe reel steps. Students in this class will also begin the hard-shoe Hornpipe. New students should wait until the fall term to register for classes, unless pre-approved by the instructor. Advanced Irish dancers with several years of experience will complete the hard-shoe Hornpipe, as well as take part in a senior tribute choreography which includes slip jig and hard-shoe reel. New students should wait until the fall term to register for classes, unless pre-approved by the instructor. A minimum of 6 students are preferred for class. 16 week class. This 45-minute Pilates class combines traditional mat exercises with light weights and barre-inspired movements to sculpt and strengthen your entire body. Focused on key areas like the low abs, glutes, inner thighs, and lower back muscles, you'll build core stability, improve flexibility, and enhance posture. The mix of Pilates principles and light resistance provides a full-body workout that tones, strengthens, and prepares you for summer, leaving you feeling strong, balanced, and energized. Minimum 6 students required for class. Taught by Jenette Wilkinson

This 14 week class introduces young dancers to the basic movements of ballet. They will learn the foundational movements of ballet at a fun, easy pace. Special consideration is given to the attention span of children in this age group by incorporating dancing games and imagination. Attire—Girls: pink leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes. A beginner/advanced beginner class. We will focus on fundamental tap steps, exploring different styles and rhythms. Participants join teaching artist, Gabi Moore, to make unique puppets each week with simple materials that they will transform into animated characters. They will begin with inspiring movements to suggest a creature or person. Then, building on imagination and memory, they will select materials to realize their vision. Using cardboard, hot glue, paint, and a range of other materials they will put together the following:

Week 1: Hand puppets with cloth sleeve
Week 2: Thai inspired Shadow Puppets on a stick
Week 3: Marionette
Week 4: Masks on Stick

This class has a capacity of 16 students. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged and saves you $34 from the individual class rate.

Puppet show! Puppet show! Bread & Puppet Theater is kicking off its 62nd year by traversing the Northeast and Eastern Seaboard with a brand-new play created with director Peter Schumann for the exact moment at hand. As always, the piece will include puppets large and small, music, up-to-the-minute politics, and spectacles not to be missed.

After the show, Bread & Puppet will serve its famous sourdough rye bread with aioli, and Bread & Puppet’s “Cheap Art” – books, posters, postcards, pamphlets, and banners from the Bread & Puppet Press – will be for sale.

Let’s dance! Students will learn introductory hip hop movements and use their own creativity as they dance to age-appropriate music. Minimum 6 students required for class. 15 weeks. Taught by Sarah Wood

A fun, upbeat class, dancing to the latest age-appropriate music. We'll focus on improving flexibility and coordination while working on set choreography and improvisation. Discover the perfect evening class tailored to honor your energy levels at day's end. Experience tranquility with moments of quiet stillness, invigorate your body to release excess energy, and unwind as you prepare for the evening ahead. This practice incorporates fundamental yoga postures to align, strengthen, and enhance flexibility and balance within your body. Minimum 6 students required for class. Taught by Jenette Wilkinson

An upbeat 15 week class focused on improving flexibility, timing, and coordination while working on set choreography and improvisation. We will also learn basic steps and history of Hip Hop. No previous dance experience required, just a desire to have fun moving! Minimum 6 students required for class. Taught by Sarah Wood

This 1.25 hour class is for beginning to intermediate vocal students! We will go over basic vocal concepts, learn songs and exercises to help strengthen your voice, and learn proper technique. 9 week class. Each student will learn at least one solo song for a performance at the end of the term, as well as group singing! Taught by Maureen Cossey

In this focused 6-week session, learn Bollywood-inspired choreography to perform at Hubbard Hall’s June 14 dance event and also “dance mob” style out in our community. As a group, we’ll arrange additional rehearsals and performance dates. Mixed level class, accessible to all ages and abilities. Taught by Gina Deibel.

Youth Theater returns with Honk! JR., a heartwarming and hilarious adaptation of the beloved fable The Ugly Duckling. With a witty book and a charming score by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe (Mary Poppins), this award-winning musical is a celebration of being different and embracing what makes us special.
Over four weeks, participants will explore acting, singing, and movement while preparing for a full-scale production complete with costumes, lights, and music. Whether your child is new to theatre or a seasoned performer, this program provides a fun and supportive environment to build confidence, make friends, and bring a fantastic story to life on stage.

Join us as we embark on an adventure full of imagination, creativity, and laughter. Over the course of two weeks, children ages 5-7 will have the opportunity to develop and perform their own original play based on a variety of books they will read during the program, bringing their unique and original ideas to life onstage. Through theater games, arts and crafts, and other hands-on activities, the students will work together to hone their artistic abilities, culminating in a fun performance for family and friends.
TWO SESSIONS: July 7 - 18 and July 21 - August 1. Monday-Friday 9am-12pm.

Beetlejuice JR. is a wacky theatrical party, featuring music and lyrics by Tony Award-nominee Eddie Perfect and a book by Tony Award-nominated pair Anthony King and Scott Brown. This Broadway hit was nominated for eight 2019 Tony Awards, including Best New Musical.

Embrace the spirit of renewal this Spring Equinox with an hour and a half of deep relaxation in our restorative yoga workshop. As the season shifts, it’s a perfect time to release what no longer serves you and make space for growth. Led by yoga instructor Jenette Wilkinson and Licensed Massage Therapist Mandy McKillop, NYSLMT, this workshop combines restorative poses with soothing therapeutic massage to leave you deeply relaxed and aligned with the season’s energy.
