Join Battenkill Bollywood and Deerfield Valley Dancing Witches to learn new choreography by the Wolfshager Hexenbrut dancers that debuted at their 2026 festival as well as new choreography by Tessa Atwood and Katie Kerr. These are low impact dances suitable for new or experienced dancers. Everyone (16+) is welcome! All participants will be invited to perform at the 4th annual Witches Walk hosted by the Pownal Historical Society on September 12, 2026 in Pownal VT. Additional performance opportunities through October will be open to participants too.

An upbeat 11-week class focused on improving flexibility, timing, and coordination while working on set choreography and improvisation. We will also learn basic steps and history of Hip Hop. Join us for a mini-session to learn an energetic Dandiya Raas-inspired dance, a style that originates in Gujarat, India. Lively and fun, this class is open to all skill levels. There will be performance opportunities for interested students, or just come have fun dancing!

Our littlest dancers will be introduced to basic positions and movements of ballet while engaging their imaginations. They will learn the foundational movements of ballet at a fun, easy pace. Students will be introduced to the fundamental positions and movements of ballet, learn terminology, and begin to combine steps to form combinations. New and returning students welcome! Materials fee included.

Yang style 37 movement tai chi form and qui gong exercises to benefit awareness, focus, flexibility and strength, structural integration, active relaxation, breathing, integration of mind, body and spirit, in the supportive social structure of a class. For students wanting to improve their technique. The focus will on all of the little details necessary to perform steps with excellence. The class will also focus on improving the strength and alignment necessary for eventually dancing on pointe. (This class will not be participating in the Dance Showcase in June).

This class, for ages 10 and up by permission of the instructor, will continue emphasizing previous skills and introduce new steps and terminology, and will encourage expression and musicality. This class is for students who have had 2-3 years Irish dance experience or have completed Advanced beginner 1. In this class we will review the jig steps as well as learn a traditional dance called the 3 hand Jig that will be performed in the year end spring showcase.

This is for students ages 10-adult who have had at least 4-5 years Irish dance experience or have completed advanced beginer Irish dance 2. In this class, we will review the reel steps as well as learn a choreography called the chieftains to perform in the spring showcase. We will also be learning a traditional/advanced group dance called the High Cauled Cap, that will also be performed in the spring showcase.

This class is for students who have 5 or more years of Irish step dance experience or have completed Intermediate 2. In this class, we will learn a traditional/advanced soft shoe group dance called the High Cauled Cap to perform in the spring showcase. We will also learn a traditional hardshoe dance called St.Patricks Day to perform in the spring showcase.

In this class you will learn a traditional hardshoe dance called St.Patricks Day as well as a soft shoe dance called the Gypsy to perform in the spring showcase. Sword fencing is an ancient martial art that combines the speed and athleticism of boxing with the strategic thinking of chess. You will learn intermediate to advanced strategy and technique appropriate to your level, as well as get a chance to practice your skill against other fencers. 12 weeks, no class November 28

Recommended for beginning fencers, age 10 and under. This is a half hour class.

For ages 7 - 10. This 12-week class includes ballet and strength techniques, combined with fun and energetic dance steps. We will stretch, learn across-the-floor progressions and choreographed combinations, and have fun! Preferred attire: Leotards & tights (or leggings & tank tops) with jazz shoes. For ages 10-17. This 12-week class focuses on more advanced jazz positions and combinations, and will include deep stretching and across the floor progressions. We will learn new choreography, combining foundational jazz techniques with fun and upbeat music! We will also learn how to connect emotion to music. Preferred attire: Leggings, shorts, (no jeans).with jazz shoes. Taught by Rylie Lear McLenithan

Music from Salem brings together musicians of international reputation to prepare and perform chamber music in the peace and beauty of rural Washington County, New York, and environs. Chamber music is classical music written for a small group of performers, and includes a range of styles, from the 18th century to today. Music from Salem also leads educational workshops and conducts violin, viola, and cello seminars for emerging young artists.

"The Last Orchid Farm in Cuba," written by Cristina Garcia, and directed by Drama League Alumni Adrian Alea. is inspired by Anton Chekhov's The Cherry Orchard. This play is part of a trilogy that pulls from the elements of Chekhov's plays and places them through the history of Castro's revolution in Cuba.
