Join us for a thrilling double-header featuring two supernatural-themed works by local playwrights—your chance to see these plays before they head to the Capital Region Festival of Theatre at UAlbany on Sunday, June 15, as part of the One-Act Play Festival!
First, The Stone Angel, a haunting new play by Kelvin Keraga (producer of Whispering Bones), explores the depths of grief, loss, and the unexpected ways healing can emerge when one soul helps another navigate sorrow. Presented as Whispering Bones' entry in the festival.
Then, Starla, a gripping and chilling play by David Skeele, follows a lecherous theatre professor who lures a young theatre major into an abandoned campus theater under the guise of refining her Lady Macbeth soliloquy. When he convinces her to attempt a "method" exercise to summon an actual spirit, his sinister plans take a terrifying turn—just not in the way he expected. Representing Hubbard Hall’s entry in the festival.
