Classes & Events

Students will be introduced to the fundamental positions and movements of ballet, learn terminology, and begin to combine steps to form combinations. Girls' attire: black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes. Boys' attire: black shorts or pants, white T-shirt, ballet shoes. Note: Dance Showcase will be on Saturday, June 14th. 16 week class. For children 7+ who have taken Ballet 1 or equivalent*, this 16 week class will build on and expand ballet skills. Girls' attire: pink ballet slippers, pink tights and any color leotard. Boys' attire: black shorts or pants, white T-shirt, ballet shoes. Note: Dance Showcase will be on Saturday, June 14th. *By permission of the instructor. Taught by Lindsay Shaner

Students will continue to learn soft shoe beginner jig and reel steps, in addition to elements of figure dances. They will also work toward performing a jig choreography in the June showcase. New students should wait until September to sign up unless they first receive permission from the instructor. Please contact Hubbard Hall to inquire further.
