Join us for an exciting three-week theatre experience filled with games, activities, and music, culminating in a full-scale production of Beetlejuice JR. Participants ages 13-18 will rehearse and perform this high-energy musical with costumes, lights, and live music, bringing the ghostly world of Beetlejuice to life on stage.
Based on the hit Broadway show and the beloved 1988 film, Beetlejuice JR. tells the story of Lydia Deetz, a strange and unusual teenager who is struggling with the loss of her mother. When Lydia and her father move into a house haunted by a recently deceased couple, she encounters Beetlejuice, a mischievous demon with a knack for chaos. As Lydia turns to him for help, she soon realizes that Beetlejuice has his own devious plans, unleashing pandemonium in the land of the living and the dead.
Featuring a score by Tony Award-nominee Eddie Perfect and a book by Tony Award-nominated team Anthony King and Scott Brown, Beetlejuice was nominated for eight Tony Awards and became a Broadway sensation. This thrilling, darkly comedic musical is packed with unforgettable songs, hilarious moments, and heartwarming themes of family, grief, and embracing the unexpected.
Over the course of the program, students will develop their acting, singing, and movement skills while working together to bring this imaginative world to life. Whether you're an experienced performer or new to the stage, this production offers an exciting opportunity to build confidence, make new friends, and be part of a spectacular show.
